Salaam, Safia and I are now safe and sound in Morocco. we had a wonderful time in Spain. I think my dad fell in love with the old buildings and the amazing art work. We drove from Madrid to our hotle. We drove up narrow roads and felt like we were going to die a few times. my dad drove us around which ment we got lost...A LOT. one night we wnet to eat seafood and when we went to walk back we got really lost. we thought we were about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotle but when we finally gave up and took a taxi it took us almost 20 minutes just to drive there. Spain was not what I thought it would be. The people are nice and the food was good. every thing cost so much money. Safia (Out one night looking around) found the most amazing ice cream shop. on our last night we got 2 bowls and then when we told my dad about it we had to go back and get one more. on our last night Safia and I just sat up untill we left at 5:30 in the morning. we slept the 4 hour (Tried to anyways) and then took the boat over to Morocco. It was so starge to see Africa for the first time. from far away it looked just like I thought it would, then when we got out of the boat everything I tought I knew about Moroc was flushed away. There are no words for it. I was in a place I had wanted to be in for so long but it looked so different. Then I started getting realluy nervous about meeting Samir and his family. after a 6 hour taxi ride we were finally in Safour. We met Samir and the family and it was all ok. then we ate the biggest dinner I had ever seen. she served us salad and when we were done we thought that was it so we were going to get up and go to bed. then she comes out with kifta and rice. we ate that and thought she was done. then she came out with a giant chicken. I ate so much I thought I would die. I got really sick yesterday and did not want to eat. I had to find a way not to eat the food without looking really rude. so what I do is eat really really slowly. one peace of bread and some soup. then they eat fast and by the time I am done with my bread most of the food is gone so I can normally fake eating it. Last night we got out of school around 6. we went to get a taxi (With my dad and Safias Grandpa) however it was really crazy. as soon as the taxi pulls up the people are pulled out and the other people jump in. we finally gave up and took a bus that took us 2 hours. I really thought I was going to dye. The driving is crazy in Moroc. it is the number one cause of unnature deaths in Morocco so you can understand why I felt I little scared. then when we got off the bus we got lost. but it got worse. the rain was kinda getting on my nerves but that fact that my dad wouldn't just call Samir was what was killing me. finally after almost an hour of walking in the dark and rain we called Samir. the poor guy had to come and find us. We were f course way off. it took us another 15 min to walk back. While we were eating dinner Samir started to quizz us on Arabic. it was so strange because I don't know that much and I hate messing up infront of people. Safia and I were still feeling a little home sick when Samir walked us to the room. but then hted talking to us and now I think things will be ok. He was trying to tell us not to worry about things but didn't know how to say it in English so he just started to sing Cat steven. ("Look at me I am old but I'm happy.... settle down find a girl if you want you can marry") thins kinda made every thing just a little better. (Ohg yeah and fiyya. he watches Opera and think she would be a good presedent)
I am at school now nd have some work to do. Insh"Allah Ramadan starts tomorrow here so I will be getting out of school early. I miss and love you all
Salaam

p.s.mama you can stop worrying about boys. they don't talk to us and we don't talk to them.
